COURSE DESCRIPTION & OVERALL GOAL

This ½ day course will cover key elements of conducting tuberculosis contact investigations in congregate settings in order to identify contacts of a person with infectious TB. Through a combination of lecture and case studies this course will focus on a review of contact investigation principles and rationale for conducting contact investigations in congregate settings as well as key steps in planning and conducting these investigations.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This conference is open to public health nurses, epidemiologists, outreach workers and others who conduct TB contact investigations.

The registration deadline is May 13, 2014. There is no fee for this training.

DIRECTIONS

Take I-95 south to I-495 West toward Silver Spring. Continue on I-495 to exit 31A (MD 97 N). Drive north on Georgia Ave approx. 0.8 miles to the 3rd stop light and turn right onto Dennis Ave. Drive 0.2 miles to the Dennis Avenue Health Center on the right hand side of the street. Parking is available in front of the building.
